Oh what a night.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR FINK!!
and a big thank you to all those that accepted our birthday party challenge of turning up in the loudest shirt! There were 2 prizes, one went to Mr Emm (Mrs Emm also made a valiant effort) seen here on the left and the other went to Marsha who spent all morning designing and colouring in her own 'Owl & the pussycat' shirt.
We had a wonderful time with family and friends surrounding and supporting us. we couldn't be happier than when in the bosom of our clan!
All hail to the chili, lemon drizzle cake, samosa, salmon sandwich, smoked trout, birthday cake, quiche, beer, wine providing lot of you, we couldn't have done it with out you and would not have wanted to. A big thank you to Ched and Doris for all their help and for providing the weather!
Mr Fink is now 40 and getting Wii Fit! he also wants to thank everyone for his gifts - he wasn't expecting any and loved every one!
I'm off now to give him a thrashing at cow racing and tennis. xxxxx

Is nothing sacred?

Mrs Emm gave me one of these to stick on Laura's aerial from her family's trip to Disneyland.
Some rotten ***&£$*** has stolen it off the car. Honestly, is nothing sacred? I have put a hex on the thief and he/she should be discovering the nasty little ailment I have sent their way any minute.
To paraphrase Catherine Tate, "What a bleedin' liberty!"
The question is, do I
a. Not replace it
b. Replace it with a Fantasia Mickey
c. Replace it with a TARDIS aeriel topper?
Who stays and who gers, Yu decide.

LOL - LMAO - ROTFL? Ever Happened?

LOL = Laugh Out Loud
LMAO = Laugh My 'Arm' Off - (this IS a family show)
ROTFL = Rolling On The Floor Laughing
Have you ever laughed so much you rolled on the floor? You threw up? Your drink came out your nose? I have and trust me, when its coca-cola it stings!
Twice in my life I thought I would die laughing. The first time Mr Fink and I were watching the Canadian Comedy Festival, "The World Stands Up", there was a Canadian stand up comedian called Brent Butt, he was describing a true incident where an aging Italian male model called, "Fabio" went on a rollercoaster and when the coaster car was heading down the BIG drop, Fabio got hit in the face by a passing goose. There is no way in the world I can do justice to Mr Butt's delivery of this anecdote but it is still the funniest thing I have ever heard. When he liked the impact to you driving down the road at 30mph in a convertible, rounding the corner to be met with a man standing at the edge of the pavement swinging a bag of spuds. Mr Fink and I laughed so much we could not breathe, we had to turn off the TV to stop Brent from talking and go lie down in the dining room. Every time we replayed the tape it set us off again. Tears were running down our cheeks and we both had a stitch. I would pay good money to see that tape today.
The second time was a double whammy. My friend and then work collegue, Mrs Emm, was taking her turn to make the tea. I uttered some quiet remark, "about flippin time" and the tea duly arrived with the comment, "Here's your cup of donkey wee". For whatever reason, I don't know but she hit me square on the funny bone with that sentence and I collapsed into the silent giggles for about 20 minutes. I was rendered completely useless.
The double whammy part was when I recounted the story to Mr Glum, the Glum children and Little Fink one day while we were out in the car. The children then started to chant "Donkey Wee" over and over again, which set me off again. I had to get out of the car and stand in the car park on my own until I had regained my composure.
I say, a good laugh does you good. Here's a link to Fabio's version of events http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7w4dpxgSWA
Oh, there is a hidden meaning in the post-picture by the way.
