Hagfish-itis

Did you see that episode of QI (with Mr Stephen Fry) where they discussed the hagfish? the hagfish has a defence mechanism where if you pick one up it turns any liquid into copious, and I mean copious amounts of mucus, gumming up it's enemy and getting away. A hagfish can turn a bucket of water into goo in under a minute.

I've caught a cold.

Last night I became so fed up with blowing my nose that I tore off a bit of tissue, rolled it into a sausage shape and shoved it up my nose to catch the drips. Ah sweet slumber.
I woke up in the morning and tried to extracate said tissue, only to find it had dried hard and attached itself to some of my inner nose hairs. OH BOY did that make my eyes water!

Anyway, the hagfish has got nowt on me today!
