Yesterday a techie guy from the IT department came to my office and kindly installed a piece of equipment i neither need or asked for. When I told him I hadn't asked for the security card reader, nor has a PIN number for one, he just shrugged and said, he had a work order to install one so here it is. He put his card in it to test it, told me it worked, cleared up and went off.
Today I received a remote software update on my computer for a new piece of software which I have no requirement for, training to use or access to open.
Tomorrow is someone going to come and give me a new job or are they preparing my computer ready for my replacement?
