Eye Eye What's all this then?

Feeling a little bleary eyed this morning. Have I been living it up at stringfellows? Moonlighting as a bouncer through the night? No, I've been waiting with Mr Fink to see an eye specialist.

Mr fink has been experiencing strange vision over the last few weeks so had it checked out and was waiting for his appointment (6 weeks away) to come round. (Last year Mr Fink went to a well known company to have surgery to improve his eyesight, they took the old lens out of his eye and replaced it with a bionic one).

Over the last couple of days his vision has been getting more troubling so we decided to go to A&E. Dropped Liitle Fink off at The Glums' and toddled off. Our local A&E triage was very quick, the nurse advised us there would be no eye specialists around for 2 days so if we were worried - go straight to Specialists. I drove to Moorfields eye Hospital, Islington, London. Again the triage was very quick, to see the specialist though took 4 hours as there was only one night doctor on. The nurse came out to advise us of the revised waiting time and some of the patients got really narky - I felt like standing up and saying - if you had an emergency, you would be seen quicker - that's the way it works....but there were more of them than me!
Anyway, Mr Fink was seen, he has some kind of cyst on the inside part of his eye (retina or choroid - not sure yet) and could he come back in the morning for further tests? 9am, yes 9am. So we arrived home at 1am, up again at 6.30am to drop him at the train station. I've, picked Little Fink up from The Glums' where she spent the night and we're getting ready for our day.

Poor ole Mr Fink. xxx
