On Monday I put the trap out with food under it, Dean came and had a look, turned his beak up and flew off. at the end of my working day I removed the food and left the un-set trap behind.
This morning I called him, put the food down, set the trap and waited, he came down, got very near but didn't eat or get trapped. A little later, a man walked past?????? I opened the window and called, "Coooeeeee". It transpires this guy, James, is from the company that put up the pigeon netting. He had been alerted to the pigeon under the net and was planning to return to remove Dean, "Dead or alive!".
I told James I was trying to trap Dean, "With what?" he asked. I showed him the trap and he just laughed. When I asked for his phone number so I could call and cancel his return trip when I catch Dean. He laughed again, but gave me the number anyway.
After James had gone and at the end of my working day, I removed the food again and had a little chat with Dean. I told him the situation and advised him it was in his best interest to get with the plan.
He has 3 days to comply.
