Mid Life Crisis Approaching

Laura 'Daisy' Green
I thought my car had died so I decided to look around for a new one. After much deliberation I decided i really fancied a hard top convertible. I checked out Peugeot's and found they had no room in the back for passengers. I looked at the VW Eos, too big for my needs. Ford focus - too ugly. Then i came across the Vauxhall Astra Twintop.

I did my research, took a couple of test drives and fell in love with the diesel, unfortunately the model I drove was a bit old and tired so I didn't put an offer in for it.

When I returned home, I had a moment of clarity.
I tried to justify owning a convertible, I couldn't. I drive about 4,000 miles a year, I have no use for a convertible. So I decided to lavish some attention (and cash) on Laura in the hope she will repay me with another few years of trouble free motoring.

So at the moment, Laura is in the garage having her timing chain changed, her distributor cap and arm replaced, her thermostat updated and some new oil and coolant and my momentary mid-life crisis appears to have passed.

(And she's such a show stopper anyway!)
