Last night, Mr Fink, Mr and Mrs Hammer, Silver Surfer and I went to our local rugby club to see a live rockabilly band, Fox River Conspiracy.
We had a terrific night, fantastic music from the 50's and 60's, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly. The authentic twangy rockabilly guitar, the thumping double bass and the vocals were all there. What a great sound.
There was much dancing and drinking. Can't wait till the next time they play. I also met up with Smithy from The Blues Blah Brothers, I haven't seen him for a couple of years and it was good to catch up.
All in all a wonderful evening of local, live music. You can't beat it.
