I work in the local hospital. The heating is not due to be put on until the 15th October. Last week the medical secretaries that type up your test results, were doing so in their coats with fingerless gloves on, it was THAT cold in our part of the hospital.Today, I thought ahead and put my woolly trousers , a thick T-shirt and my camping jumper on. I was not going to be cold!
I arrived at work to find my boss sitting in her office with her coat on! I walked across the road to the supermarket to see if they sold hot water bottles. Seriously, I did. (They don't).
At about 11am, the heating came on! Yay. Everything warmed up nicely. The only problem was, this morning when I put my thick T-shirt on, I noticed it had a bleach stain on the front. "It won't matter," I thought, "I won't be taking my jumper off."
I was roasted all afternoon! (I'm not complaining honestly!)
