Last night Mouse, our family cat, was hit by a car and killed. A kind person took him to the emergency vet and they contacted us.
Mouse was a very big character and a big game hunter. He packed a lot into his short life and we are devastated at his death.
I went to the vet this morning and said my goodbyes.
I was put in touch with a local lady who wrote on social media last night that she'd seen a black and white cat hit by a car and took it to the vet. I thanked her and told her all about Mouse. I even sent her a photo of him with his prized rat.
She said, "That's not the cat I took to the vet."
Even at this sad time... It is good to smile.
