I made it as far as the second roundabout only to find a pink Nissan Figaro (see above) with 4 x 18 yr old girls in it, stranded in the path of the roundabout. I parked up, jumped out and alongside a friendly passerby and his 3 small boys, we pushed the car to safety and left the girls to phone 'dad' for recovery. I by this time was shattered! I headed home to get my now, much needed, inhaler, then set off for the next County.
I met up with Mrs Clooney, a fellow medical secretary and also an admirer of George C! We bimbled through about 10 charity shops, some higgledy piggledy displays, some professionally set out in colour order (funny how this gave the display more cache), I was on the look out for items to display handmade jewellery in an innovative way, Mrs Clooney was just trying to fight the urge to buy those two mini Crocodillo green stemmed glasses!
I bought a cream faux tapestry cushion, 4 small cranberry glass dishes, which when stacked, make an unusual earring display and a tiny hinged mirror, perfect for showing off my handmade rings from all angles. I nearly bought all manner of funky shoes, I had an idea in my mind that they would be eye-catching on the display table?
We finished off with a very prawny jacket potato and tea while the rain came down.
What a lovely afternoon and thank you for my bean and hot chilli plants, I'll do my best to keep them healthy!
