| NOM NOM NOM |
About 25 years ago my mum was given this tortoise by a work colleague who was emigrating to Australia. After a few years mum passed the tortoise on to another work colleague who looked after her for over 21 years. On Saturday he made contact to ask if we would like the tortoise back again as he and his wife were hoping to see a bit more of the world and go travelling.
We jumped at the chance.
Now Harriet (or Henrietta or Harry or Hetty or Potter - last one courtesy of Nelly) is safely ensconced in the garden with the rabbit for company she seems happy (how on earth can you tell?)
She has to stay in her run in the morning while she has her breakfast or the rabbit will steal all her food. After breakfast though, she has the run of the garden and 'potters' about the garden quite happily. In the evening I point her in the direction of her beautiful sleeping box (which her previous owner made for her) and she plods right in and settles down for the night. Ahhh
