In the 1980's I found an American quarter dollar, I kept it in my purse and have carried it with me ever since.
Last year I spent a lot of time in the quadrangle at work, it is a completely sealed off area and only I and the Caretaker have keys to get in there, him to cut the grass and me to trap random wildlife that gets in under the anti-pigeon netting. One day when I was resetting the trap to catch Pica the Magpie I noticed a shiny coin on the path, bare in mind, I was walking this path twice a day for over a month. It was a quarter dollar. I have no idea how it got there or how long it had been there. Was that why Pica came under the netting in the first place?
In about November I was sorting out the large reuseable shopping bags which live under the sink in the kitchen, lo and behold, there was a quarter dollar in one of them. How odd?
