Today the 'men' fixed the dog gate to the static's veranda. This was a poor excuse for a trip into Millom to the hardware shop where they spent ages drooling over power tools. We managed to stop Bambi from buying a hammer drill. We visited the best pie shop in the world and drove back to the site, the car filled with the wonderful scent of meat and potato pies. Yum!
The rest of the day was spent in and around the beach, football, photographs and the Glums' inflatable 2 man canoe. It's bright yellow and hard to miss. Bambi and Marsha paddled in the sea, joined by Mr Fink. Mrs Glum, glumdog and I relaxed on a bench overlooking the estuary. Beautiful.
In the evening Mrs Glum made a delicious spag bol. We went bed, tired and happy.
