Making The Most Of It

It's been a busy few weeks, Nelly has been on a creative writing course with Michael Morpurgo (he wrote War Horse amongst a load of other books) along with a hundred children from secondary school across our county. Nanny ans Shouty Grandad accompanied me and Mr Fink to see Nelly at the school's spelling Bee, Nelly did very well. We were also treated to her acting prowess at the recent 'Soiree', an evening to showcase the talents of the children at Nelly's school. Last week she went to Bologne Sur Mer for the day, visiting a goat farm and the historic town.

Last night Mr Fink and I went to my alma mater for an outdoor music festival where Waiting For Katherine (frontman is a school friend from 20 yrs ago!) were headlining.
I spent a wonderful day, picnicking, wine tasting and talking with school buddies about everything until the band hit the stage, then it was off down into the mosh pit for me - along with me Ju Ju Majik stick for a full hour of pogo'ing, singing and general letting down of hair. The rain lashed down, hair and clothes got wetter, the mud got thicker but we didn't notice because the music was loud, fast and tuneful. What a night. Marvellous.
