Nelly, Marsha and Glumdog picking dandelions today, the traditional day to pick them is St George's Day but I was afraid the council would come and mow the field!
We gathered a whole carrierbag of flowerheads, the pollen stained our hands and the smell from the bag was.....horrible.
After 90 minutes of separating the petals from the green parts I am left with 7 pints of petals.
Add the zest and juice of 4 lemons and 2 oranges.
Add 16 pints of boiling water and leave to steep for 4 hours.
