Spring break

We're back from 2 weeks in Cumbrian lake District , 'where the mountains meet the sea'.
Little Fink, Marsha and I spent a week of rain and yukky weather together in Aunty Joan's caravan by the sea. We met loads of family members at Aunty Joan's birthday party and Aunty Mary's family BBQ.
Then Mr Fink joined us and the weather turned all summery, we swam in the sea, went horseriding, kayaked on Coniston, sunbathed, read, painted, visited Whitehaven, Uncle John's farm on Corney fell (with chicks and lambs too) and had a hair raising trip to Gutterby. We were visited by cousin Brenda and Uncle John Bennett.
We slept a lot in the afternoon and the girls enjoyed great freedom.
The highlight of the trip? when Mr Fink, Little Fink and Marsha when kayaking on Consiton. The other families that landed their boats and canoes complained that their feet got wet during the 'dismount'. When the Fink Kayak landed, Mr Fink tried to get out and tipped the whole thing over, girls and all. Everyone on the bank thought it was very funny (me included!)
