Little Fink's class are busy practising their Christmas Carols ready for Friday mornings concert.
Little Fink said to Nanny that she would like to accompany the class in Jingle Bells on the piano. "Ah, how sweet." you say? She can't play the piano. Never had a lesson in her life. Nowt. Nada. So, for the last 2 weeks I have been taking her up to school first thing in the morning to learn and practise "Jingle Bells" on the piano. Full marks to her for bravery!
She has gone from terrible and painful - to perfect notes, perfect timing and a joy to hear.
I am however past the point of no return with the tune and the words in general. The children are going to be singing it in French! So I've had enough of that Christmas carol in both English AND French!
Roll on tomorrow - the last time I will have to hear it for 12 months.
Bah humbug!
